The program
The top of the ladder most drivers can reach.
LMP2 is the fastest prototype class below Hypercar, and almost every car on the grid is an Oreca 07 with a Gibson V8. It races at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the European and Asian Le Mans Series, with lineups that pair professionals with amateur, Bronze-rated owner-drivers.
Crown's part is the engineering and preparation behind the car. Crown technicians assemble and prepare Oreca 07s in the Crown workshop and work inside Algarve Pro Racing's program. Most of that work is white label, which is how our partners prefer it.

Is there a US-based LMP2 team for owner-drivers?
Yes. Crown Racing is based in the United States and has been technical partner to Algarve Pro Racing in LMP2 since 2023. Owner-drivers can join an LMP2 lineup through Crown.
What does Crown do in LMP2?

How do I get an LMP2 seat?
Most drivers reach LMP2 with prototype experience from LMP3 or Radical and an FIA driver categorization. Crown runs all three, so a driver can build that experience and move up with the same team. Tell us your experience and calendar.
