1969 Buick GS400 restomod in crown customs shop

We started this custom 1969 Buick GS400 project with a customer supplied vehicle. Crown Customs was tasked with bringing this car back to life with a full custom restomod build. Specs for this custom include a custom Roadster Shop chassis, a new Chevrolet Performance LS3, and custom interior.

The customer’s vision is to retain as much of the original aesthetics while upgrading the power, performance, comfort of the vehicle. We have been given a lot of liberty with the design and custom built parts of this GS400. Our team has started out strong with the direction of the vehicle owner to build a car that is specific to his vision. Check out the first update on this build which takes us from how the GS400 arrived to us through disassembly.

When the GS400 arrived to us it looked like a solid car to start with, as we started to disassemble it, we found some things that would need to be corrected. As with all of our custom projects, we don’t know always know what to expect when we start. Our team is great at coming up with solutions for anything we run into. It will be a challenge to get this car to where it needs to be but we are excited to do it right and in a way that only Crown Customs can. We will share another update with you soon. Make sure to check out our other custom build projects here.
